Daily make up routine

Hello lovely people, hope life is treating you well!

Today I thought I would write about my daily make up routine, since is been changed from the last one I did in the summer.

Products have been changed, some steps added however my skill set remains crap.

So let's start with some good old skin care first shall we?

First step is cleanser!

I've been loving the Neutrogena "Hydro Boost Clenser"

Super hydrating and contains hyaluronic acid that may sound scary, but it actually helped my skin.

I use this day and night. In the morning to start fresh and remove all the impurities and at night I actually use it to remove my make up; and lemme tell you.. that baby works!

Second step is toner.

I've been using La Cura "Healthy Glow" toner.

Need to admit I got it because it looked like the Pixi "Glow" tonic but for the fraction of the price but to be fair is working beautifully. It lightly exfoliate the skin living it glowy and fresh.

After having a good conversation with my sister about my skin type (for those who don't know my skin is very dry) she told me that using oil, as I was doing everyday, wasn't actually a clever idea and that I should use instead moisturiser to put back the moisture into my skin.

Who would've thought!

So I've been using the E.l.f daily hydration moisturiser day and night and have to say that little genius of my sis was right. My skin never felt so good!!

Now let's jump into make up.

Since the colder months I ditched the foundation. I got frustrated one day and I thought that: anyway foundation never go along with my skin and I spend half of the time blowing my nose due to catching a cold every other day so the foundation gets removed I look like a snotty mess (gross I know).

Overall my skin is doing better since changing the skincare routine that I actually don't need foundation to cover much except for my under eye bags.

So I go straight in with concealer.

After everyone and their mum was talking about the "new" Make up Revolution "Conceal and Define" concealer I went my self and bought it and I understand why everyone loves it.

It does a pretty good job at covering my under eye bags.

I apply it under my eyes, around my nose blend it with a beauty blender and job done.

On a lazy day after this step I will go with mascara and leave the house, but for blog post purpose I will tell you all the steps.

After applying concealer I go ahead and bash my face with bronzer, I use a rather new purchase from Wycon, it's part of their new summer collection and I bloody love it.

It has just that perfect warm tone for me that makes me look sun kissed without looking orange!

Than I go on with some blush, a step that I never really did, but I got this tiny Benefit "Gold Rush" as a part of a Christmas present and after realising the hard way that it was a blush and not an highlighter, I've been using it no stop. It is rose gold with a bit of shimmer and makes my skin looking a bit more healthy.

Than I will do my eyebrows, yet another step that I used to skip, but I don't know why lately I've been obsessed with the bushy eye brow look and had the urge to do it.

I didn't want a pencil or a pomade, because:

A: I am not patient enough to apply it

B: I wanted a more messy look

So I got a gel tint from Wycon and it's been very fun to use.

The product has a dark tint and a tiny brush so I just brush my eyebrow upwards so it only takes me few seconds to achieve that bushy look I had in mind.

I was on the hunt for a cheap but good palette than had mostly warm tones, but some cool colour as well for when I was feeling a bit more wild (which is hardly ever) so I got the Make up Revolution Soph palette.

I usually use only a warm brawn all over my eye lid, in the days I feel more adventurous (which is hardly ever) I use the orange and red tones. Bloody love it.

Than will go with a duo that I've been using for the longest time.

The Revlon "Photo ready Insta-fix" and the Collection "Gorgeous glow" highlighter.

I know I double my highlighter, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

I use the Revlon one first, on the high point of my cheeks and my favourite part, the tip of my nose.

Your girl is gotta light up the town.

Than I go over that with a fan brush and the Collection highlighter.

Now for a step that I hardly miss is mascara, a fair new one is "The mascara Revolution" from Make up Revolution, bit clumpy and I realised that throughout the day it leaves some fall out but it makes the eyelashes full and super long.

THE END.

Here you go, my make up routine updated, hope you got some inspiration and my suggestions were somehow useful.

M. xx
